About
Real LaTeX, for people and their agents.
Puffin is a LaTeX engine built by Neuroglia Solutions. It compiles real LaTeX (pdfTeX) into PDF through a REST API and an MCP server, so an application or an AI agent can generate any document: a prescription, an invoice, a lab report, a certificate or a two-column scientific paper.
What Puffin is for
Some documents have to look right every time. Puffin keeps your letterhead, logo, typography and colors in a template that you set once. After that, every document comes out equally polished, with no one laying it out by hand. Because it is LaTeX, equations, units and numbered references reach the quality of a scientific publication, and TikZ and pgfplots draw charts and diagrams as vectors.
Built for AI agents
The agent writes LaTeX and Puffin compiles it. When a document fails, Puffin answers with the file, the line and a hint instead of a long log, so the agent can fix it without guessing. The source stays readable, so a person can always review what an agent wrote.
How it is built
- Every document compiles as untrusted code, under Landlock and a seccomp filter: no network, no other programs, only its own folder.
- Stateless: no database, no storage, no document kept after the reply.
- Light: about 0.4 s per prescription on Render's smallest instance (measured on October 25, 2026, server time, with test data).
Part of Neuroglia Solutions
Puffin is part of the Neuroglia Solutions ecosystem, which builds AI tools for healthcare, made by physicians.
Early access
We're opening Puffin to a small group of teams. If you want to generate branded documents, publish science or connect your agents, request early access and tell us what you need.
